It's that time of year again. The leaves start changing. The weather starts to cool down and the art room is filled with projects for the Fall Extravaganza. Our 5th graders are working hard on their class project. Students started transferring their designs onto copper. Next week we will patina the copper sheets and then they will be ready to transform a simple mirror, into a magnificent work of art. I will post pictures when it is finished. I am sure that it will be spectacular.
Our 1st and 2nd graders had the opportunity to connect with nature by using leaves to create their art. We rolled white ink on the back side of the leaves and then printed the leaves on black/brown paper.Next week we will add color. I can't wait to see how they turn out.
